Research Intensity
If you need deep user research with 20+ interviews across three geographies, that's different than validating with 5 internal stakeholders. Both are valuable—they're just different investments.
Team Composition
Some projects need a solo designer. Others need a designer + researcher + strategist. We staff based on what you actually need, not what's most profitable for us.
Timeline & Urgency
If you need something in 2 weeks versus 8 weeks, that affects availability and resource allocation. We're transparent about rush costs.
Iteration & Testing
If you want two rounds of usability testing versus five rounds, that changes the engagement. We discuss trade-offs early.
